This notice explains how Luke Dornan Photography (“I”, “me”) collects and uses personal data when you use https://lukedornan.com or contact me. I am based in Manchester, UK.

What I collect
If you use the contact form or email me, I may receive:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Project type and any dates you mention
- The content of your message
Server logs from hosting (Cloudflare Pages or similar) may include technical data such as IP address and browser type, used only to operate and secure the site.
Why I use your data
To respond to enquiries and, where relevant, to take steps toward providing photography services.
Lawful basis (UK GDPR)
- Legitimate interests — responding to general enquiries about my work (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Steps prior to a contract — when you ask for a quote or booking (Article 6(1)(b)).
I do not use the contact form to send marketing unless you separately opt in later.
Who receives your data
- Me, via my email inbox at [email protected]
- Web3Forms — if you use the website form, they process the submission so it can be emailed to me. See theirprivacy policy anddata processing agreement.
- My email and domain providers, as needed to deliver and store mail
- The site host (e.g. Cloudflare) for hosting and security
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards should be in place under their terms.
How long I keep it
Enquiry emails and form submissions are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any related work or ordinary business records, then deleted or archived securely. Web3Forms free plans typically retain submission copies for a limited period (see their policy).
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use marketing or analytics cookies. Essential hosting/security technology may be used by the host. There is no cookie consent banner because non-essential tracking is not used.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Erase data in certain circumstances
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Receive data in a portable format where applicable
